Bria Skonberg is a JUNO Award-winning trumpeter, vocalist, and composer hailed as the “shining hope of hot jazz” by The New York Times. A ten-time DownBeat Rising Star and Jazz at Lincoln Center Swing! Awardee, she has performed at top festivals including Newport, Monterey, and Montreal. Originally from British Columbia, Skonberg has been a bandleader since her teens and a key figure in the revival of classic American jazz since moving to New York in 2010. Blending virtuosity and charm, she brings a fresh modern energy to vintage jazz, captivating audiences around the world and inspiring the next generation of musicians.
